The Good Guys
The Good Guys has been utilising People Pulse for several years to interact with our store network in two key areas.
Firstly, at least every year staff nationally are surveyed to determine their satisfaction against a broad range of criteria. The data is used in a variety of ways including generating training programs, giving feedback to stores on areas in need of cultural or other improvements, and, highlighting other specific concerns or areas of improvement we may need to address to improve our business.
Secondly, and from my perspective most importantly we use the tool to take a quarterly snapshot of key variables relating to Workplace Health and Safety. We pose a series of standard questions which stores rate their compliance with as well as a question in which what is being measured each quarter changes enabling us to focus on an area of specific concern be that manual handling, bullying or changes in legislation.
The answers are fed back to us providing:
• The ability to compare results nationally, by state, by store over any time frame that now stretches back over three years;
• The ability to deliver focussed strategies nationally, by state or by store if an area is highlighted that needs attention, and;
• An additional source of evidence in the event of an inspection by the various state based safety authorities.
The platform is simple to use and very reliable, the service level from the provider is exemplary and the pricing fair. There is simply no hesitation in renewing our contract annually. People Pulse has provided us with a simple and invaluable tool to interface with over a hundred individual businesses.

The University of Southern Queensland
Following the development and implementation of both Exit and New Employee Experience online surveys in 2010, USQ has found the People Pulse solution to be user-friendly, secure and efficient. We were able to work with Quinntessential to design surveys that met our needs. The solution was able to support multiple question types and branching. Personalised email messages are easily distributed to respondents immediately or can be scheduled to send in the future. Similarly, reminder emails can also be sent to those that haven’t started or completed the survey. For almost 10 years we have been collating information from our exiting employees via paper surveys and anticipate our response rates to increase primarily due to the ease of completing the surveys online. We enjoy the professional look of the online surveys and appreciate their ease of use - and so do our staff!
Given that we are a regional institution with lower staff numbers, we have a limited amount of data for reporting purposes at this time. However, we anticipate that online reporting will be a valuable addition, providing quick access to overviews of survey results together with an efficient way of disseminating information to senior executive and managers with the ability to email links to reports, or alternatively export data to programmes including Excel and Word.
We have always found the staff at Quinntessential willing to go that ‘extra mile’ to accommodate our requests and very much appreciate that they are just a phone call away – no problem was too trivial for them to deal with in the development and subsequent implementation of our surveys.

for providing us with on-line surveys for both our client
and candidate surveys this year.
Paul Quinn worked with us initially in developing and
formatting the questions. We provided the database from
our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices.
We were extremely pleased with the response rate and
the level of feedback we had from both surveys. The
candidate survey provided a 46% response rate, whilst
the client a 59% response rate. These are higher than
we have ever achieved in the past from paper based surveys.
The on-line method is extremely easy for the recipient

IPA Personnel
IPA Personnel commenced working
with Quinntessential in May 2004 as part of a review
of its current customer satisfaction survey process.
IPA was keen to improve it current survey flexibility
and usability whilst moving to a more online efficient
process for administering the product. It was important
that the process allowed IPA to track the survey in
a number of ways so that the appropriate benchmarking
and ongoing improvement could be monitored at branch,
state and client level. IPA decided to purchase PeoplePulse
in July 2004 due to the quality of the product, look
and feel, non complex set-up and ease of use, whilst
still offering great flexibility and a variety of survey
options.
Quinntessential have been extremely flexible to work
with and generous with their time and support. Paul
has always been available to assist when needed and
made all aspects of the transition user friendly and
easy. IPA has at times provided feedback on areas for
potential improvement or ideas for future product enhancement,
and these suggestions have been welcomed and often implemented.
